After more than a decade of working with kids with dyslexia, I have found that no two students learn the same way.
I have had students sit with their back to me while I taught the lesson. They preferred to listen to me rather than watch me.
I have taught students while they were under their desk. I join them and sit on the floor with them.
I have had students lying on the desk. I keep on teaching and they keep on taking it in.
Some of the students lie across their chair on wheels and push themselves around the room.
It just shows that kids can learn from many different positions. Sitting still at a desk is not for all kids!
If you change your perspective, you may change someone’s life.
